The Treatment Process

• We begin with an initial consultation in our Barrie office to discuss the benefits of Invisalign® and to address any questions or concerns you might have about the treatment itself or the costs involved.
• Assuming you are ready to proceed, we will perform X-rays and create impressions of your teeth. This allows us to illustrate the current position of your teeth, as well as how they will be aligned after treatment is complete.
• After clear aligners are created and customized to fit your teeth your treatment plan will begin. Simply wear your Invisalign® aligners every day, taking them out only to eat, to brush your teeth, or to floss.
• Approximately every 2 weeks your teeth will be ready to advance to a fresh set of aligners. The doctor will examine you every 6 weeks or so to measure and examine your progress.
• For best results aligners should be worn 20 – 22 hours a day. A full course of treatment for adult patients usually lasts about 1 year. At the end of that time you will enjoy a straight, confident new smile!
